Over the past 15 years I have been an Assistant Professor in restorative dentistry and public health, conducted and coordinated community-based and clinical research, and I have published over 50 articles in indexed medical and dental journals. My areas of research include interactions between periodontal health and systemic diseases, predominantly metabolic and reproductive health conditions; the development of new treatment protocols strategies aiming infection control and reduction of oral bacterial load associated to oral diseases; development of new adjunct therapies to enhance osseointegration and new bone formation around dental implants in order to improve their survival and success. Currently, engaged in private practice in the Miami / Fort Lauderdale area.
